McGlinchey is pleased to announce that Perry Salzhauer, co-chair of the firm’s Cannabis Industry Group resident in Seattle, has been recognized as a 2023 Notable Leader in Cannabis by Green Market Report.
Perry is known throughout the Pacific Northwest as a leading advocate for high standards among lawyers working in the cannabis industry, and this acknowledgment highlights his dedication to advancing the cannabis industry. As a corporate and environmental attorney, Perry represents operators, investors, and ancillary businesses from start-up to exit and advises on matters ranging from day-to-day operations, major transactions, regulatory compliance, and investor relations. His deep knowledge proves indispensable to clients navigating the complex regulatory landscape governing the cannabis industry.
Perry’s work and advocacy within the legal community have helped legitimize the practice of cannabis law among attorneys in more traditional practice areas. Perry was part of the Executive Committee of the Cannabis Law Section of the Oregon State Bar from its inception. As chairman, he oversaw the planning and execution of the inaugural Pacific Northwest Cannabis Law Institute, the first such event sponsored by a state bar association. Perry is also a member of the Sustainability Committee of the Cannabis Association of New York and an Executive Committee Member of the Securities Law Section of the Oregon State Bar.
Green Market Report’s Notable Leaders in Cannabis program is part of a respected tradition recognizing outstanding leaders across various industries for their significant contributions and achievements. This program, which commenced in 2017, has celebrated over 5,000 leaders in cities across the United States and now extends nationally to recognize excellence within the cannabis industry.
