Giving You More Since 1974
In the Spring of 1973, four lawyers in New Orleans wanted to do things differently. They began to discuss the idea of starting a new firm that would, they hoped, be more responsive to client needs and progressive in its business practices. The firm of Schumacher, McGlinchey, Stafford and Mintz was born on January 1, 1974, with four partners and three associates in a suite on the 43rd floor of One Shell Square in New Orleans.
Today, McGlinchey Stafford looks very different than it did five decades ago, with 170 attorneys, 30 practice areas, and 17 offices in 12 states across the country.
Our mission of doing things differently, however, remains. The entrepreneurial spirit of our founders remains a central tenet of our culture and our business, and we strive to continue building on that legacy as we help clients address their business and legal challenges and look ahead to the milestones to come.
This year, as we recognize our 50th anniversary, we are excited to celebrate the firm we have built, embrace the culture that has positioned us to thrive, and focus on our continued growth and service to our clients.
Whether a matter involves a specific issue or crosses various service lines, we assemble effective and efficient teams to collaborate on the task at hand, driven by client goals and always minding the bottom line.
We practice across a wide range of industries—locally, regionally, and nationally. Our knowledge of our clients’ industries makes the difference between reciting the law and truly understanding their legal services needs.
Our integrated practice teams collaborate daily across our 17 offices, supported by our dynamic service platform. We open offices where we perceive a client-driven need or an opportunity for strategic growth.
