McGlinchey is pleased to announce that Ally Byrd has joined the firm’s Enterprise Litigation and Investigations section as a Member in the New Orleans office. Ally focuses her practice on products liability and mass tort lawsuits alleging economic loss, product defects, and personal injuries, and defends premises liability, workplace injury, and workers’ compensation claims, as well as employment litigation.
“We are excited to welcome Ally to our New Orleans office,” said office Managing Attorney and Labor and Employment practice group chair Magdalen Blessey Bickford. “Her extensive experience working with corporate clients on risk management, employment, and litigating an array of complex matters will prove a major asset to our clients.”
Prior to joining McGlinchey, Ally’s legal practice focused on clients’ employment, workers’ compensation, and general liability matters. She represented clients in a wide range of liability disputes from pre-litigation through appeal, and used her extensive motion, mediation, and trial experience to produce favorable outcomes for her clients.
“I’m thrilled to take my practice to the next level and provide my clients with innovative, advanced legal services at McGlinchey,” said Ally. “McGlinchey is a litigation powerhouse. The attorneys are extremely accomplished and handle very sophisticated work, and I am honored to join the team.”
Ally speaks regularly at national conferences and presents to third-party administrators, carriers, and in-house attorneys on risk management issues while also providing legal updates on defense litigation tactics and substantive law updates.
“Ally’s well-rounded litigation experience, coupled with her tenacious commitment to her clients, will add tremendous capabilities to our litigation team,” said Dan Plunkett, Chair of McGlinchey’s Enterprise Litigation and Investigations group. “We’re very pleased she chose to join our group and happy to offer her impressive skillset to our clients.”
Ally earned her law degree, cum laude, from Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2014. She received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University in 2011.
