Legislation in auto finance: What’s on the horizon?

Washington, DC Attorneys Bob Driscoll (co-chair of McGlinchey’s government and internal investigations team) and Brian Fink (attorney in the consumer financial services compliance group) were featured in a webinar presented by Auto Finance News/Auto Finance Excellence on December 8, 2020. The discussion centered around upcoming changes in regulation for consumer finance companies, particularly auto lenders, in 2021. Specifically, they discussed how the rise of a state-driven consumer protection agency (California’s Department of Financial Protection and Innovation), and the incoming Biden-Harris administration, could shake up regulation and legislation impacting the auto finance industry.
