McGlinchey Welcomes Maritime, Insurance Litigator Ryan Ginn
Read Time: 1 minMcGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce the hire of Associate Ryan Ginn, who has joined the firm’s Enterprise Litigation and Investigations team in New Orleans.
“I am so glad for Ryan to join our growing team of litigators here in New Orleans,” said José Cot, Managing Member of the New Orleans office. “He brings a diverse background and skillset that complements our local bench of litigators well.”
Ryan represents insurers, corporations, and government entities in maritime and insurance coverage matters. He has extensive experience in first-party property insurance defense related to damage from Hurricanes Laura, Delta, and Ida. Ryan also works on matters ranging from personal injury and property claims to asbestos and other toxic torts, as well as commercial litigation. With maritime clients including domestic and international private corporations and insurers, Ryan works in federal and state courts as well as ADR forums.
“Ryan’s legal acumen, industry knowledge, and research skills will serve our national clients well,” said Marcelle Mouledoux, chair of McGlinchey’s Enterprise Litigation and Investigations team.
As a law student, Ryan externed for the Hon. Susie Morgan in the Eastern District of Louisiana. He also served as a Research Assistant on maritime law issues for Professor Robert Force.
Licensed to practice in Louisiana, Ryan earned a J.D. from Tulane University Law School, where he served as Senior Managing Editor of Volume 45 of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. He also holds a B.A. in Mass Communications: Print Journalism from Louisiana State University. Prior to pursuing the law, Ryan worked as a sportswriter covering Ohio State athletics, primarily Ohio State football. He covered several College Football Playoff games and a national championship game.
