McGlinchey’s Steven Christianson on ABA’s 2023 Pro Bono Honor Roll

This accolade is a testament to Steven’s dedication and commitment to providing legal assistance to those in need, particularly in the challenging field of immigration law.
Each year the ABA Commission on Immigration extends its gratitude to individuals like Steven who have significantly contributed to pro bono programs within the Commission, ProBAR, the Children’s Immigration Law Academy (CILA), and the Immigration Justice Project (IJP). Their efforts are indispensable in upholding due process rights for immigrants and supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
Steven was specifically honored on the Pro Bono Honor Roll for his exemplary work on a particularly challenging and complicated asylum case. IJP provided Steven with an experienced immigration attorney-mentor in assisting him throughout the administrative law asylum application process. His experience and perseverance led to a successful outcome, with the administrative law judge eventually granting asylum to his former client. This case highlights the critical impact of pro bono work and the difference it can make in underserved people’s lives.
