Edelman Appointed to National Automotive Finance Association Board of Directors

Edelman, a member (partner) in the firm’s Cleveland office, chair of its national Consumer Financial Services Compliance practice, and member of the executive Policy Committee, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the National Automotive Finance Association (NAF).
“Having worked closely with NAF and its members throughout my career, I’m honored to join the Board and support the critical role the Association plays in shaping the future of our industry,” said Edelman. “I look forward to collaborating with my fellow board members to advance sound policy, promote equitable consumer access to credit, and help members succeed in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.”
A nationally respected authority on consumer finance law, Mark’s appointment reflects his decades-long leadership and contributions to the automotive finance industry. For more than 30 years, Mark has served as a trusted legal advisor to auto finance companies, banks, and FinTech lenders nationwide. His strategic guidance has helped clients navigate regulatory compliance, innovate lending products, and grow responsibly in a constantly evolving marketplace.

Mark’s leadership within McGlinchey and the broader legal community has been widely recognized. He serves as Vice Chair for the American Bar Association’s Consumer Financial Services Committee and has been ranked in Chambers USA in the area of Financial Services Regulation: Consumer Finance (Compliance) for eight years. Mark is a fellow and past regent of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers, and serves as a member of the Governing Committee for the Conference on Consumer Finance Law.
NAF is the leading trade association for the non-prime auto finance industry, offering a forum for education, networking, and advocacy. As a board member, Mark will work alongside other industry leaders to support the Association’s mission and guide its future initiatives during a period of dynamic change in auto finance.
