Read Time: 2 minsMcGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce that Andrew Wein is joining the firm as a Member (Partner) in the Financial Services Litigation group. Andrew will be affiliated with the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. He is joined by his long time paralegal Laura Liles. Andrew is the 16th attorney hire in the firm’s Financial Services Litigation team and fifth attorney hire in Florida in 2025.
“The move to McGlinchey positions me to offer a number of collaborative services to my clients nationwide,” Andrew said. “I’ve known many of my McGlinchey colleagues for a long time and know them to be collegial in addition to doing excellent legal work in the financial services space. The firm’s size and structure are a good fit for my practice, and its collaborative and nimble culture translates to the work we will do for our clients.”
With more than 25 years of senior in-house and outside counsel experience, Andrew’s previous titles include Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at a national mortgage servicer and, most recently, Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig.
“Andrew’s extensive experience with all facets of the mortgage industry, from the licensing of mortgage companies and their affiliates to handling state and federal examinations, will be a tremendous value to our clients,” said Shaun Ramey, chair of McGlinchey’s national Financial Services Litigation group. “We are very excited to add an attorney with his background and perspective to our team.”
His practice spans regulatory compliance, litigation, and enforcement. He also offers licensing and corporate advice to financial services companies, and privacy advice to businesses outside of traditional financial services whose operations touch consumer data. Having led the integration of key business units following an acquisition at a previous employer, Andrew advises clients in due diligence when purchasing assets or mortgage servicing rights and reviews contracts and servicing agreements.
“We are pleased to add Andrew to our financial services team here in Florida,” said Kerry Cummings, Managing Member of the Ft. Lauderdale office. “His legal acumen on all sides of consumer lending is a complement to our deep bench of litigators across the state.”
Andrew is a long-time volunteer with the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. In this role, he staffs the Guatemalan-Maya Center’s family advance directive clinics, to ensure immigrant families have durable powers of attorney and healthcare proxies to provide for the care of their children.
Licensed in Florida, the District of Columbia, and New York, Andrew earned his J.D. at Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University.
