McGlinchey’s Camille Bryant Receives Numerous Accolades
Read Time: 3 minsMcGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce that Member Camille Bryant has been named to leadership positions and received honors in a number of areas.
“It is my honor to again congratulate my phenomenal colleague Camille on her recent recognition,” said Mag Bickford, Managing Member of McGlinchey’s New Orleans office and Chair of the firm’s Labor and Employment practice group. “I can fully attest to her dedication to professionalism, service, leadership, and advancing equity and inclusion, across our region and in our field. Her accomplishments speak for themselves and I am proud to call her a coworker and friend.”
First, Camille was named to the NextGen Council of Greater New Orleans, Inc. Comprising emerging business leaders from across the region, representative of a range of industries, the council is designed to introduce new leadership to GNO, Inc., to develop business leaders with a regional perspective, and help guide implementation of GNOfuture, New Orleans’ regional economic development strategy. Members of the NextGen Council are between 30-45 years age who demonstrate service as a valued and emerging regional leader as well as a high level of civic and community engagement.
Second, Camille was selected for the Defense Research Institute (DRI)’s 2023/2024 Diversity Professionalism & Business Development Mentoring Program. The program, which launched in 2022, enhances opportunities for early-career DRI members from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds. The goal of the program is to provide mentees with practical tools for developing and leveraging relationship-building skills applicable to law firm practice.
Finally, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel (LADC) named Camille a finalist for the Young Lawyers Committee’s 2023 Frank L. Maraist Award. The honor is bestowed on an LADC member who demonstrates professional excellence, service to the profession and the bar, commitment to pro bono work and community service, and contributes to furthering the ideals of the legal profession.
Camille practices in McGlinchey’s Labor and Employment practice group in New Orleans. She guides employers through a wide range of employment law issues, whether through litigation or advice and counsel. Camille has experience representing employers in both single-plaintiff and class action litigation. She is a go-to lawyer and thought leader on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) issues, and is also a trusted advisor to employers as they develop Environmental Social Governance (ESG) initiatives.
A leader inside McGlinchey, Camille chairs the firm’s African American Affinity Group, co-chairs the New Orleans Summer Associate Recruiting Committee, and is active in many other committees. She was also McGlinchey’s selected representative to participate in the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity (LCLD)’s prestigious Pathfinder (2019) and Fellows (2021) programs which offer personal and professional development and leadership training.
Nationally, Camille currently serves on the LCLD’s 2023-2024 Executive Council. She has been recognized on the National Association of Women Lawyers’ 2022 Rising List and was named 2019 Outstanding Young Lawyer by the National Bar Association’s Women Lawyers Division. Locally, she was one of New Orleans CityBusiness’s 2022 “Leadership in Law” recipients and received the 2019 A.P. Tureaud Award from the Greater New Orleans Louis A. Martinet Society. In 2023, she was named a “Top 40” honoree by the Louisiana State Bar Association – Young Lawyers Division.
Camille was appointed by the Louisiana legislature to the Louisiana Board of Ethics, a 14-member body which regulates all government employees. Camille currently serves as Past-President of the Greater New Orleans Chapter of the Louis A. Martinet Legal Society, Inc. and Martinet Legal Foundation, is a Past President of the New Orleans Association for Women Attorneys, and is Past Chair of the New Orleans Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Committee’s Public Service Committee. Within the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, Camille currently serves on the Young Lawyers Division Board of Directors.
Locally, she serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations including the Southeast Louisiana Legal Services (SLLS), the ProBono Project, and the Louisiana Fair Housing Action Center. Camille is also a past Board Member of Kids ReThink New Orleans Schools.
