There is no ‘typical day’ in my practice. Some days I get an early morning call from a chief executive, an elected official, or HR director seeking counsel on an issue that needed to be resolved an hour ago. On other days, I'm dealing with a contract dispute, a job-site accident, or defending my clients in a civil litigation suit in federal court. Whenever I can resolve a dispute in my client’s favor, help them navigate a particularly challenging issue, or eliminate an obstacle, it is an opportunity to improve their lives. That’s what makes my work so exciting.

Courtney currently practices in the areas of labor and employment, education law, and complex civil litigation.  He has worked on a variety of significant cases including a case which required the Louisiana Supreme Court to clarify the scope of the school immunity law.
