Litigator Jordan Goldfarb Joins McGlinchey in Fort LauderdaleRead Time: 2 mins
McGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce that Jordan Goldfarb has joined the firm’s Enterprise Litigation and Investigations group as Of Counsel in the Fort Lauderdale office. Jordan represents the insurance industry and others in civil litigation and investigations. Jordan is one of 13 attorneys McGlinchey brought on in May, and the firm has hired 33 attorneys as of July 28, 2023.
With experience as in-house and outside counsel, Jordan brings deep familiarity of the nuanced laws at play in the insurance field, with particular knowledge of first-party property damage matters. He also counsels clients regarding policy language, claim handling guidelines, and regulatory interactions. Jordan previously worked for Homeowners Choice Property & Casualty Insurance Company, Inc.
“We are pleased to welcome Jordan to the firm and to our Enterprise Litigation and Investigations group in Fort Lauderdale,” said Kim Israel, co-managing member of the Fort Lauderdale office and Member in the firm’s Commercial Litigation section. “His particular knowledge of the insurance landscape here in Florida will be fundamental to developing and implementing strategies to address clients’ complex legal matters across the state.”
Jordan has a robust civil litigation practice as well, handling everything from contract disputes, subrogation, and fraud cases to commercial claims, allegations of bad faith dealings, internal disputes, and appellate matters. In a variety of commercial litigation, he is adept at handling pre-suit and litigated matters arising from insurance claims, advising carriers regarding investigative findings, and recommending cost-effective strategies for claim handling and litigation defense.
“Clients trust Jordan’s years of experience and tenacious approach to litigation and investigations,” said Dan Plunkett, Chair of the firm’s Enterprise Litigation and Investigations Group. “Whether he’s defending insurance carriers, property managers, or individuals, Jordan has a proven track record of helping clients navigate complex legal matters.”
Jordan received his J.D., cum laude, from the Florida State University College of Law in 2014. He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and inter-disciplinary social sciences from Florida State University in 2009.
