McGlinchey New Orleans Hiring Continues with Of Counsel, Associates
Read Time: 3 minsMcGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce the hire of Sean Sullivan, Of Counsel, and Associates Elisabeth LeBlanc, Hannah Stierwald, and Thomas Wisecarver. McGlinchey welcomed 50 new attorneys in 2023 as part of its focused recruitment initiative aimed at expanding its nationally recognized team, including 10 in New Orleans alone.

Joining as Of Counsel, Sean Sullivan has almost 15 years of experience in insurance coverage and defense. Representing clients in first-party property claims, he has a dual practice combining matters related to homeowners insurance coverage as well as National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) flood insurance.
Sean has an eye for the nuanced issues at play in regulations governing Louisiana homeowners insurance and prides himself of synthesizing those issues for out-of-state insurers. He represents private as well as government-backed insurers of flood insurance policies, which positions him to advocate for clients in any underwriting scenario. As a testament to his dedication to and interest in this complex field, Sean obtained a certification in water damage restoration through the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC).
Licensed in Alabama, Louisiana, and Washington, Sean earned a J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2010 and a B.S. from Georgetown University in 2007. Sean has been involved in leadership of Louisiana’s Forum for Equality since 2012, and he currently serves as Past Chair. He also volunteers with the Pro Bono Project.
Associate Elisabeth LeBlanc is a corporate and transactional attorney who advises public and private clients on a range of corporate matters, including formation, governance, and operations, as well as mergers and acquisitions, and securities work. She has managed matters related to commercial transactions, state tax credit programs, and securities filings. She is licensed in Louisiana.
While earning her law degree, Elisabeth served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Fredericka Homberg Wicker in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal of Louisiana and as an in-house legal extern with a large hospital group. She graduated from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2016, and earned a B.A. in Anthropology in 2009 from University of Florida.
Associate Hannah Stierwald primarily represents employers in workers’ compensation, transportation defense, and premises liability claims in Louisiana state and federal courts. She litigates matters in state and federal court and defends insurers’ interests given the nuanced issues at play in Louisiana state courts.
Prior to joining McGlinchey, Hannah interned for the Hon. Joy Cossich Lobrano and worked as a legal secretary for the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. She also worked as a Summer Legal Extern in the Enforcement division of the U.S. Financial Regulatory Agency (FINRA). Licensed in Louisiana, Hannah graduated from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she served as Substance and Citation Editor for Loyola Law Review, in 2023. She earned a B.S. in Marketing from Louisiana State University in 2020.
Thomas Wisecarver is an Associate who supports employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation claims. Thomas manages the entire claim process lifecycle, from issues of compensability to the final settlement and file closure. His practice also includes transportation defense in matters involving trucking and automobile accident claims. He is licensed in Louisiana.
Previously, Thomas worked as an Extern in the Civil Litigation Division of the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office in New Orleans and Intern for Hon. Martin L.C. Feldman and the Hon. Jay C. Zainey of the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana. Thomas earned a joint M.B.A./ J.D./ D.C.L. from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center and E.J. Ourso College of Business in 2021. He also holds a B.S. in Business Management/Entrepreneurship from LSU in 2017.
