Practicing law keeps me on my toes, and I enjoy the challenging and rewarding nature of my work. Representing financial services clients, such as auto lenders, affords me the opportunity to analyze each unique scenario and develop the most effective strategy to address the problem at hand. Every case requires a tailored approach, and I enjoy that no two days are ever the same.

Nick O’Conner is an Associate in McGlinchey’s Houston office. His practice primarily comprises consumer actions and collections actions in Texas state and federal courts. Nick offers clients a wealth of experience defending against claims brought under the Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA), as well as breach of contract disputes, fraud, and related matters. Nick has also handled a wide array of commercial litigation matters. He has appellate experience and is a certified mediator.

Nick’s previous experience in sales and logistics gives him a unique insight into his client’s business goals. Clients appreciate his range and skill in managing matters covering a wide spectrum of topics and desired outcomes.

Outside the office

Prior to studying law, Nick spent six years as a Reservist in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoys spending downtime with his three rescue dogs, Gunner, Riley, and Dale.
