McGlinchey Welcomes 4 Newly Licensed Associates
Read Time: 2 minsMcGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce the hire of four associates who previously clerked or worked at the firm across three of its offices. All four were sworn into the practice of law this fall:
- Nick Corwin (Cleveland)
- Zain Kazmi (Irvine)
- Patrick D. Riley (Baton Rouge)
- R. Caroline Taylor (Baton Rouge)

Nick Corwin represents financial institutions in a wide range of regulatory compliance and litigation matters. His clients span depository institutions and their affiliates, FinTechs, sales finance companies, and state-licensed lenders. Prior to joining the firm full-time, Nick worked as a Summer Associate with McGlinchey. In law school, Nick served as Managing Senior Editor of the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy, where he graduated with a J.D. in 2025. As a double major in History and Political Science at Case Western Reserve University, he completed two undergraduate capstone projects related to the history and politics of insulin pricing, which explored intellectual property law issues.
Zain Kazmi worked at McGlinchey as a paralegal before becoming a licensed attorney. He represents clients in civil and commercial litigation. He has worked on both sides of personal injury cases, including matters involving catastrophic injury, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and wrongful death. Zain has worked on both sides of litigation, supported attorneys through trial as a paralegal for nearly a decade, and managed full-time work during undergraduate study, a paralegal program, and law school. Prior to his legal career, he taught high school speech and debate and elementary science. Zain graduated in 2025 with a J.D. from the University of La Verne College of Law and holds a B.A. in Philosophy, Law & Society from Thomas Edison State University.
Patrick Riley supports clients in commercial and appellate litigation on matters in state and federal courts ranging from contractual disputes, governmental defense, and employment litigation. Prior to law school, Patrick held the prestigious Louisiana Governor’s Fellowship in the summer of 2020, supporting Governor John Bel Edwards in ensuring agency cohesion and compliance with Covid-19 directives. Patrick also served as a staffer for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Louisiana and Judicial Extern for Hon. Christopher Hester of Louisiana’s First Circuit Court of Appeals. At LSU Law Center, he was selected as Tutor for the Law of Obligations class and elected by his peers as the President of the LSU Law Board of Advocates. He graduated from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center with a J.D./D.C.L in 2025 and holds a B.A. from Centenary College of Louisiana.
Caroline Taylor focuses her practice on employment and general civil litigation involving discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, as well as broader civil matters. In addition, she supports clients with compliance, policy development, and employee handbooks. Caroline also has an interest in sports law and advises clients on related compliance and dispute matters. Prior to joining McGlinchey, Caroline interned at the Livingston Parish Clerk of Court and held clerkships at a number of business law firms. Caroline clerked at NILSU throughout law school, researching the new name, image, and likeness (NIL) guidelines and advising student-athletes and businesses on branding and commercialization opportunities. Caroline graduated from LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center with a J.D./D.C.L in 2025 and holds a B.S. in Neuroscience from Rhodes College.
