McGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce that both of its Louisiana offices have been honored this month among the “Best Places to Work,” by Baton Rouge Business Report and New Orleans CityBusiness, respectively.
This is the third year in a row McGlinchey’s New Orleans office has received this honor. Both recognitions are based on independent surveys of the office’s employees.
“We are incredibly honored and humbled to be recognized as one of the ‘Best Places to Work’ in both of our Louisiana offices,” said Michael Ferachi, Managing Member. “This acknowledgment reaffirms our unwavering commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive firm culture that empowers our talented team to thrive and succeed.”
McGlinchey’s Baton Rouge office debuted at #11 in the “large company” category (for businesses with more than 250 employees nationwide). The New Orleans office was one of 12 “large companies” recognized (not numerically ranked).
“Being named one of New Orleans’ Best Places to Work for the third time is a milestone we proudly celebrate,” said Mag Bickford, Managing Member of New Orleans Office. “We focus on cultivating an enriched, empowered culture where all can thrive and grow, individually and collectively. Our employees enjoy their colleagues and their work and do it well. Our exponential growth these past three years is a reflection of our strong foundation and our team’s talent and passion, and we are excited to continue this journey.”
McGlinchey’s New Orleans office drew attention when it “swept” the awards at the New Orleans Bar Association’s “Bar and Grille” competition in April, winning six categories including “Best Overall.” Funds raised through the event supported the Veteran Justice Fellowship.
“I’m incredibly proud that the Baton Rouge office has been voted as a Best Place to Work,” said Zelma Murray Frederick, Managing Member of Baton Rouge Office. “This recognition is a wonderful way to celebrate our thirtieth year in Baton Rouge, where we have consistently supported our community while exceeding our clients’ expectations. We are growing our local team of exceptional attorneys and business professionals with others who value authenticity and mentorship in a creative, supportive work environment.”
In Baton Rouge, the firm proudly supports a number of local organizations, from Southern University Law Center’s Expungement Clinics and UREC (Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation)’s Pre-Law Institute for high school students to the Junior League of Baton Rouge, The Emerge Center, Capital Area United Way, BREADA/ Red Stick Farmer’s Market, and others.
McGlinchey’s workplace culture was also recognized alongside some of the largest law firms in the country by the 2024 Vault Survey of “Best Law Firms for Diversity” in the following categories: #12 Best Law Firms for Racial and Ethnic Diversity; #20 Best Law Firms for Women (up from 2023’s ranking of #30); #27 Best Law Firms for Diversity – Overall. The firm was one of the first 100 nationally to complete the Midsize Mansfield Certification, demonstrating McGlinchey’s commitment to nurturing a welcoming, supportive workplace where each employee is empowered to do their best work and grow in their careers.
Founded in 1974, McGlinchey’s New Orleans office is home to more than 100 attorneys and administrative professionals. McGlinchey’s Baton Rouge office was its second (of 17) and remains the second-largest, with 50 employees. These two offices house the core of the firm’s business operations, including human resources and benefits, recruiting and talent acquisition, marketing and business development, IT and training, accounting, library services, and many members of the Senior Administration team.
